SKyPE

One of my favorite things to do is skype with my family.  Especially the kids!  They are so dang cute and it's so fun to watch them grow up.  Second best to actually being there.  I'm so grateful for the technology that allows this to happen.  Seriously, how awesome is it that you can talk with your family across the country AND be able to see them?!

I mean, how else would Orry be able to play "peek-a-boo" with me?  I have been able to keep his attention a little more everyday and it's so much fun.  Baby Livy loves to talk, grin, and stare at me.  She may even beat Orry to the talking if he doesn't get going!

Taylin LOVES to put her make-up on with me.  It's so cute to watch her put it on just right. If I'm lucky, she'll give me a few tips too :)  This girl is so easy to entertain.  Infact, most the time, she prefers to do the entertaining.

Tay loves drawing pictures for me, putting stickers on my nose, and playing around with her sombrero.  Our relationship works well for her mommy since she is able to shower and do other things while Tay and I play.  She tells me all about how she is going to help with the babies when they come. Such a good girl.  She gets smarter everyday and she knows it.  I just love her!

1) How cool is it to be able to sing "Happy Birthday" with the family?
2) How NOT cool to NOT be able to partake of the treats? So unfair.
Little Jake is always on the move!  And that sweet little face of Sara's is something I'm working on saying "no" to.  So far, not working.  Ryan and Jena are wild and crazy kids, but we still love them!

It's always fun to see everyone on Skype.  One morning I got a call from my dad...I know what you're thinking.  He knows how to use skype?  The answer is yes!  He also can take snapshots.  Amazing, I know.  Here are some of mine:
He thinks I'm not fast enough to catch his faces. Ha.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the ones he took. ;)

And of course, I always get kisses when we say goodbye! :)

P.S.  those family members who don't have skype- Come on already!  You're missing out on all the fun! Plus, we miss your kids... and you! :)

This is the fortune that Matt received at lunch yesterday.  Anyone know how to expedite these things??

Our final walk through

This last Thursday we had our final walk through on our house. That's right, flooring and appliances are now in! The house is now just waiting for us to move in. And we are just waiting on the loan to go through. Probably another week or so. I'm hoping to drive home for Thanksgiving and come back with loads of stuff. This all can't happen soon enough. We are both SO excited! It's funny how it's a brand new house but we're already talking about all the projects we want to do...

I didn't take pictures of the whole house. If you didn't get the tutorial before it was finished, you can find it here. The carpet is a dark brown- it's looks a little different in the pictures, but you get the idea.

Also, Matt took some pics/videos at his work. Here's what he does everyday...

For the Grand Canyon tour they land in the bottom of the canyon, have a snack/relax, before they take off again. The video is of the helicopters taking off.. you may wonder at first. :)

Two Crepes Please!

Oh how I miss the Alaskan Crepe Escape.  And oh, how I could REALLY use one right now!  I would order the pizza crepe along with the cinnamon roll surprise.  There's no way I could finish them both, so it would make a great dinner for Matt and I.  Infact, since we're going all out,  let's add two berry smoothies just because!

Okay that's enough dreaming.  Besides that it's making me terribly hungry.  Not only do I really miss these delicious crepes, I miss my friends.  Amanda(left) owns this cute place and I'm so glad I was able to know her and Chantil(right).  I also miss my Fudge Co friends, Era friends, and church friends(yes, even those nursery kids).

It seems to me that Juneau passed by in a dream.  I'm so glad we took so many pictures so we can remember that it actually really happened after all :)

Happy Hallow's Day!

Our last few days have been spent studying for Matt's end of training test.  I think I speak for the both of us when I say I can't wait for it to be over!  I've learned all about autorotation procedures along with any other emergency procedure he might have to know for this specific helicopter.  Oh, and he fit in showing me exactly how a jet engine works.  I love watching him get so excited about this stuff.  So now, I'm thinking I'm about ready to take the test too!  As long as they don't ask me to fly that helicopter, that is...

We decided to carve a pumpkin last minute.  Yes, I mean last minute.  Right before the trick-or-treaters came.  We took turns getting the door while watching LIVE Ghost Hunters.  Haha, we had to at least try and scare ourselves.  Since we are no longer in Utah, the troups came unceasingly Sunday night.  We even ran out of candy :(  Okay, I was somewhat glad when it was gone.  They kept interrupting my show!  I have to say though, I've never seen so many adult trick-or-treaters in my life.  They were grabbing handfuls and we really hope that's not all they have to eat.

And to my mom- who I thought never had a birthday when I was young-
Hope you had a great birthday/halloween!  Wish I could have been there!
